Erodii cicutarii heiba


Pharmacy name: grass aistnika (bloom) - Erodii cicutarii heiba (formerly: Herba Erodii cicutarii).

Botanical description. Low weed often with erubescent, vilchatovetvistym flowers, light green palchatorassechennymi leaves and violet-red flowers. Comes from the Mediterranean, a very long time introduced in the natural flora of Central Europe. Grows on dry meadows, sandy arable land on side of the road.

Active substance: tanning agents, flavony, essential oils, caffeine, a substance acting on the uterine musculature, saponins. Sometimes used to purify the blood.
